You can join the B1 course if you have reached language level A2.
Start date: 2 November 2026
End date: 22 March 2027
Class times: Monday and Wednesday from 7:30 pm to 9:45 pm.
You will have 84 hours of lessons with your teacher.
The total study time is 200 hours.
There are a maximum of 20 students in your group.
You will receive plenty of personal feedback.
Course fee: €995 for twenty weeks, including all course materials.

Are you not employed? In some cases, your municipality may cover the cost if you take part in our course. Ask your municipality about the available options.
How do we do this?
ONLINE LESSONS B1 - This is how we organize our lessons.
In this online group course, you will improve your Dutch from language level A2 to B1.
You will practise speaking and writing assignments.
You will read current texts and listen to our podcast.
The lessons are taught online by a specialised Dutch as a Second Language (NT2) teacher from Ad Appel Taaltrainingen.
During the lessons, your teacher will give you feedback on the exercises you complete.
After completing this course, you will be ready to take the State Exam Dutch as a Second Language, Programme I (B1).
The Ad Appel Taaltrainingen method combines online lessons with a knowledgeable and experienced NT2 teacher, studying with a textbook, and self-study.
This approach makes it possible to improve your language level in a relatively short period of time.
